18,598 health professionals administered COVID-19 vaccine in Sindh


KARACHI: Up to 18,598 frontline health professionals have been given the COVID-19 vaccine in Sindh province, a Sindh Health Department official noted.

According to the Sindh Health Department, a total of 18,598 health professionals have been vaccinated in Sindh Province since February 2, 2021, of which 2,453 were vaccinated at the Khaliq Dina Hall Vaccination Center in Karachi, 1146 at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, 1695 at the Dow University of Health Sciences , Ojha Campus, 2486 at Sindh Government Qatar Hospital Orangi, 675 at Sindh Government Hospital New Karachi, 1267 at Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad, 666 at Sindh Government Children’s Hospital, 2003 at Korangi No. 5 Sindh Government Hospital and 1838 at Malir Hospital.

Aside from Karachi, 1,542 health care workers at the Liaquat University of Medical Sciences (LUMS) and 2,827 at the Shaheed Benazirabad MCH center have been immunized against the coronavirus.

The data also showed that in Karachi, 14,229 health care workers were vaccinated in six out of 18,598 days.
