COVID-19 claims two more doctors’ lives


KARACHI: Two other senior doctors lost their lives in the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Sindh.

A senior advisor, Dr. Aslam Shah recently passed away in Karachi due to COVID-19. He was admitted to a private hospital where he died while on treatment. He practiced at Hilal-e-Ahmer in Clifton, Karachi.

Similarly, Dr. Sattar Phulpoto, Additional District Health Supervisor (ADHO), describes his life in the war against COVID-19 in Khairpur.

A total of 62 healthcare workers have died as a result of the COVID-19 in Sindh province, including 56 doctors and six other medical workers.

Data from the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA-Center) showed that at least 209 healthcare workers in Pakistan have died from complications from the coronavirus (COVID-19), including 178 doctors, 30 nurses and paramedical staff, and a medical student.
