I live about 40 miles west of Chicago and we’ve seen a variety of weather events in the New Year. I grew up in this area and really enjoy seeing all four seasons, even winter. There is an austere beauty that comes from the extreme elements when they express themselves.
I consider this time to be a time to rest and rejuvenate with ideas for the upcoming gardening season. Here are a few photos of what I saw recently. The last photos show some cuttings and new beginnings of some of the things that I propagated this weekend.
