Trump’s Twitter Account Permanently Suspended

OAKLAND, Calif. – Twitter announced Friday that it had permanently suspended President Trump “because of the risk of further incitement to violence”, effectively cutting him off from his favorite megaphone to reach his supporters.

“We determined that these tweets violated the policy on the glorification of violence and the user @realDonaldTrump should be immediately and permanently suspended from service,” said Twitter in a blog post.

The suspension comes a day after Mr Trump was banned from using Facebook for the remainder of his tenure and a number of other digital platforms banned Mr Trump from their services.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
