Excessive Faculty Musical Collection Forged Discuss About Season 2

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series was a huge hit when it premiered on Disney + in November 2019. It goes without saying that we are looking forward to the second season. While production was initially delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the cast is back on set in Salt Lake City filming new episodes. Although an official release date for the second season has not yet been announced, fans will get a special glimpse into the first music number “Something in the Air” during the Christmas special, which appeared on the streaming service on December 11th.

“There’s a lot more singing, a lot more dancing, and you see that in season two, so I look forward to seeing that exciting look when you watch the vacation special,” Joshua Bassett told POPSUGAR. “You learn more about each individual character. We really immerse ourselves in each person and you learn more about them.”

Olivia Rodrigo added that the opening number is filled with iconic choreography by Zach Woodlee. “It’s honestly my favorite number we’ve ever done,” she said. “It’s so smart. [We all] kill it. Sofia Wylie is Mrs. Dancer PM here. She is so good. I remember just watching this and thinking if I could do this I would just never stop. “

Another exciting tidbit is that there will be even more original songs written by the stars next season. While an acoustic version of Bassett’s new song “The Perfect Gift” will be featured in the Christmas special, Rodrigo also wrote a new track for season two, which Bassett referred to as “one of” [his] Favorite songs of all time “and a real tear catcher.”[It] was such an honor, “said Rodrigo of writing her third song for the show.” Josh and I always say we’re so grateful to have the opportunity to write for a show that means so much to us. It’s just cool that they believed in us teenagers and gave us so much creative control over the music, which is such an important aspect of the show. ”

Over the past year the cast has become like one big family so it was exciting in itself to bring everyone back together. “Just to be able to see everyone, I was so excited. I wanted to crush all of your faces and just hug you so tightly,” said Sofia Wylie. “I was just happy to be back in all of your presence and back to work. I love doing that. I love acting. Being home for so long was like starting to get a little crazy I thought, I have to be a different person than Sofia Wylie. I have to be Gina now. So it was really nice to just get back inside. ”

Repeating the same feelings, Matt Cornett added, “There’s a great energy that forms when we’re all together. It’s like such positive, good emotional energy that I can have. I know whenever I’m with something fight or want something. ” Having a hard time with something, I get to work and everyone is there and I’m better and happier immediately. There are no negative moments when we are all together. ”

During the last season the characters took on High school musical Her high school production is all about this season Beauty and the Beast. But don’t worry, it will still capture the same Wildcat spirit. “There are some really fun school ghost episodes that we have yet to shoot,” said Wylie. “There was a couple we haven’t even filmed, and I’m really looking forward to bringing in a lot of this East High world and being an East High student there.”

“You think you know what’s coming, but you don’t know. It’s always twists and turns.”

What excites fans the most, Rodrigo teased that we’re going to take a closer look at some of the characters the show didn’t have time for that season. “There are new relationships and new characters and so much drama,” Rodrigo said. “You think you know what’s coming, but you don’t know. It’s always twists and turns.”
