Nextdoor’s Cheer Map Reveals You The place to Discover Vacation Lights Close to You

It’s the season! Nextdoor has teamed up with Hallmark Channel again to bring the much-needed Christmas cheer this season. The neighborhood social networking service has launched its annual Cheer Map to help users find Christmas light displays near their homes. If you live in a neighborhood that uses Nextdoor, the Cheer Map can be accessed through the Nextdoor website or app. All you need to take advantage of the festive feature is a Nextdoor account. So you’ll need to sign up if you haven’t already.

How accurately does the Cheer Map capture data on local holiday light displays? Your neighbors play a crucial role. Nextdoor users have the option to list their homes on the Cheer Map. To do this, users need to switch to their neighborhood map by tapping the Cheer Map icon in the top right corner of the Nextdoor home page. A pop-up should appear above a selected address asking, “Are you decorating your home for the holidays?” Click on “I will!” or “Not this year” and then continue. A light and indicator symbol is placed over houses that say “I will!” Tap.

To remove an address from the Cheer Map, simply change the selection from “I will!” to “Not this year.” It goes without saying that both a Nextdoor account and the Cheer Map feature are accessible for free.

“Nextdoor’s annual Cheer Map is back to make your neighborhood even brighter this season,” Nextdoor said on a blog. “With so many people staying here this year, it’s more important than ever to make the neighborhood a little more happy. [and] Nextdoor and Hallmark Channel are excited to work together to create joy and illuminate neighborhoods everywhere. ”

Access your local Cheer Map on Nextdoor. Happy Holidays!
